February 21, 2013 - The Senate Appropriations Committee held three weeks of budget hearings with the heads of each state department to garner information regarding the Governor’s budget proposal for each agency.

February 12, 2013 - I attended Governor Corbett's press conference to learn more about his proposal to use revenues from the privatization of the state's liquor stores for education block grants. Afterwards, I was interviewed by Channel 27 News. (Click to see additional photos)
 

February 11, 2013 - Miss Pennsylvania 2012, Jordyn Colalo, during her visit to the Senate.  A native of Erie and a Penn State graduate, Jordyn's platform is cardiovascular disease prevention. Her visit to the Senate was timely, considering February is American Heart Month in Pennsylvania.

February 6, 2013 - Governor Corbett presented his 2013-2014 budget address to a joint session of the legislature. (Click to see an additional photo)
