LEGISLATION

SB 195 – Amending Act 70 of 1972, the Industrialized Housing Act to authorize the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to enter a multistate agreement for the purpose of regulating the construction of components of industrialized and commercial modular buildings.

SB 316 – An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in criminal homicide, further providing for the offense of involuntary manslaughter.

SB 331 – An Act amending the act of May 28, 1937 (P.L.955, No.265), known as the Housing Authorities Law, further providing for awards of contracts, completion bond, additional bond for protection of materialmen and others.

SB 371 – An Act amending the act of December 17, 1981 (P.L.435, No.135), known as the Race Horse Industry Reform Act, further providing for the composition of the State Horse Racing Commission.

SB 604 – An Act amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for restricted activities for former officials or employees.

SB 605 – An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the offense of robbery.

SB 646 – An Act amending the act of August 15, 1961 (P.L.987, No.442), known as the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, further providing for definitions.

SB 647 – An Act amending the act of August 15, 1961 (P.L.987, No.442), known as the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, further providing for definitions.

SB 648 – An Act amending the act of August 15, 1961 (P.L.987, No.442), known as the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, excluding political subdivisions from the act; authorizing optional prevailing wage ordinances; and making repeals.

SB 649 – An Act amending the act of August 15, 1961 (P.L.987, No.442), known as the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, allowing local governments to remove themselves from the jurisdiction of the act; and making repeals.

SB 674 – An Act amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, in high schools, further providing for academic degrees.

SB 694 – An Act establishing a grant program for municipal fire and emergency services organizations; and providing for grant funding.

SB 698 – An Act providing incentives to persons who plant and harvest bioenergy crops to be used exclusively to produce cellulosic ethanol as an alternative motor vehicle fuel; and making an appropriation.

SB 733 – An Act amending the act of June 3, 1937 (P.L.1333, No.320), known as the Pennsylvania Election Code, providing for elections in the event of catastrophic loss.

SB 774 – An Act providing for a Postsecondary Education Tuition Reimbursement Program for volunteer firefighters, fire police and emergency services personnel.

SB 775 – An Act amending the act of May 15, 1939 (P.L.134, No.65), referred to as the Fireworks Law, providing for a public safety fee.

SB 835 – An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the offense of stalking.

SB 836 – An Act amending Title 15 (Corporations and Unincorporated Associations) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the payment of fair value of shares.

SB 837 – An Act amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in financial responsibility, further providing for exclusion from benefits.

SB 883 – An Act providing for the establishment and operation of the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Officer Alert System; and imposing powers and duties on the Pennsylvania State Police and the Department of Transportation.

SB 884 – An Act amending the act of June 30, 1981 (P.L.128, No.43), known as the Agricultural Area Security Law, providing for proceeds from sales by the Department of Agriculture and for grants for agricultural land conservation assistance; and making a related repeal.

SB 885 – An Act amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for control of public travel on private property by owner.

SB 945 – An Act amending the act of July 7, 1980 (P.L.380, No.97), known as the Solid Waste Management Act, providing for testing prior to sewage sludge application.

SB 946 – An Act amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for required financial responsibility.

SB 947 – An Act amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the issuance of identification cards.

SB 989 – An Act amending the act of March 4, 1971 (P.L.6, No.2), known as the Tax Reform Code of 1971, further providing for returns of married individuals, deceased or disabled individuals and fiduciaries.

SB 990 - An Act amending the act of July 9, 1987 (P.L.220, No.39), known as the Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors Act, further providing for qualifications for license.

SB 1151 – An Act amending the act of December 18, 1987 (P.L.412, No.86), known as the Pennsylvania Fair Dealership Law, further providing for definitions, for termination of dealer agreement, for death or incapacitation of dealer and for repurchase of unused specialized repair tools; repealing provisions relating to coercion; and providing for violations of act, for warranty, for remedies and enforcement and for waiver.

SB 1169 – An Act amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for sentencing generally and for collection of restitution, reparation, fees, costs, fines and penalties.

  • Status: Final Passage in the Senate, Feb. 3, 2010; Referred to House JUDICIARY, Feb. 8, 2010

SB 1182 – An Act amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing prohibition of sun screening materials on vehicle windows.

SB 1183 – An Act amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in driving after imbibing alcohol or utilizing drugs, further providing for prior offenses.

SB 1244 - An Act authorizing the release of Project 70 restrictions imposed on certain lands owned by the City of York, York County; and imposing Project 70 restrictions on certain lands being conveyed to the City of York. 

RESOLUTIONS

SR 138 - A Resolution designating September 2009 as "Polycystic Kidney Disease Awareness Month" in Pennsylvania.

SR 206 – A Resolution designating November 2009 as Hydrocephalus Awareness Month in Pennsylvania.

  • Status: Adopted, October 9, 2009

SR 266 – Declaring March 2010 as Kidney Awareness Month and March 11, 2010 as Kidney Awareness Day in Pennsylvania

  • Status: Adopted in the Senate, March 10, 2010
