FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Senator Waugh Launches New WebsiteHARRISBURG - State Senator Mike Waugh (R-York) has launched a redesigned website today for the residents of the 28th Senatorial District and other visitors to more easily obtain information regarding the Legislature, state agencies, and other government services. New and improved features on Waugh's website, www.senatorwaugh.com, include a Multimedia Page, where visitors can view his monthly television show, The Commonwealth Report, as well as an expanded Agriculture Committee page, which provides a resource for individuals interested in Committee happenings and what legislation is before the Committee. Many additional links have been added throughout the site to provide as much information as possible to those just browsing or looking for answers to questions. Students and teachers should be pleased with the links contained in the Kids Page, which lead to very beneficial resources to educate them on the state and federal governments and their community. Veterans and senior citizens also have designated pages of resources to assist them. Visitors will of course find restructured favorites, such as Waugh's photo gallery, news releases, and legislation introduced in the 2005-2006 legislative session. Constituents still have the option of sending an inquiry via the website, and should an individual find they live outside the 28th District, contact information is provided for other York County Senators and Representatives. There is also a search option for identifying one's Senator if outside of York County. "I'm very pleased with the new website being launched today," said Waugh. "The residents of the 28th District deserve to have a resource like this that can provide them with up-to-date information on state government and its happenings." |
